After spending half an hour at Toor Ji Ka Jhalra, I visited Mahila Bagh Ka Jhalra, which is the second of three stepwell sites I visited in Jodhpur.

Mahila Bagh Ka Jhalra isn’t as big or clean as Toor Ji ka Jhalra, but this site has a lover, an Irish citizen name Caron Pierre.

Now the thing is that both Toor Ji Ka Jhalra and Mahila Bagh Ka Jhalra, are not under ASI (Archaeological Survey of India). So whatsoever maintenance is done here are by locals or travellers like Caron Pierre.

Caron Pierre, in 2015 cleaned Mahila Bagh Ka Jhalra, with his own hands and his dedication also attracted other locals to clean Mahila Bagh Ka Jhalra, along with Caron. You can read this story at this link.

So as I have no history info on this site, here are some pictures I took for my collection of Ancient Indian Stepwells.
